Trevor Sinclair has said on talkSPORT (8:16am, October 1, 2021) that he would take Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani at Manchester City.
The former City and West Ham United winger has said that Cavani would be perfect for Pep Guardiola’s side.
City wanted to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, but the Premier League champions could not get the deal over the line.
Sergio Aguero left the Citizens for Barcelona at the end of last season.
Gabriel Jesus is being used out wide, with Ferran Torres playing down the middle.
Sinclair said on talkSPORT (8:16am, October 1, 2021): “There were rumours about Cavani possibly going to West Ham. I would take him at Manchester City. I think he would be perfect.”

Cavani is one of the best strikers in the world and remains an important figure at United.
With Cristiano Ronaldo joining the Red Devils in the summer transfer window, Cavani’s playing time will depend on how manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to play in attack.
The 34-year-old – who earns £250,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac – is used to playing with other strikers upfront.

City could have done with Cavani, but, of course, it was always unlikely that the striker was going to join the defending Premier League champions in the summer of 2021.
After all, City and United are bitter rivals.
True, Carlos Tevez left United for City in 2009, but it is unlikely that such a transfer was going to happen now.
