The West Ham United midfielder came on at half-time and had a 100 per cent passing accuracy at the full-time whistle.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic pulled something of a surprise on Saturday when he replaced Pedro Obiang and Manuel Lanzini at the halfway point of the Hammers’ clash with Hull City.
While Lanzini was struggling to make an impact on the game, Obiang was continuing to impress, and the Spaniard’s departure prompted an outcry from many West Ham fans.
Most still feel Obiang did not deserve to be hooked – even if Bilic did have one eye on his yellow card – but his replacement Edimilson Fernandes was brilliant during his own 45-minute performance.

Still only 20, Fernandes finished the game with a quite incredible 100 per cent passing accuracy, proving his composure and justifying his inclusion.
The Swiss youngster made 24 passes in total and found an opponent with each and every one. He also recovered the ball on four occasions, won two duels and two interceptions, and he played one key pass to set up a goal-scoring chance for a teammate.
He may not yet be the fan favourite Obiang quickly became, but Fernandes is the real deal and on this evidence he will feature a lot more for West Ham in the weeks ahead.
