Edgar Davids speaks highly of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.
Eriksen like Davids has played for both Ajax and Tottenham, and the 1995 Champions League winner believes the Danish star is in a class of his own.
Davids said: “He did unbelievably well last season, he’s a big influence.
“When I listen to people talking about this player and that player, when you see the guy play, how many assists? Chances created? He’s number one.”
Eriksen last season scored eight goals for Spurs and ended the campaign with 15 assists, his best return since signing for the club in 2013.

The Dutchman said he also feels strongly about Belgian ace Mousa Dembele, but believes he can get even better, and has excitement about the whole squad.
Davids said: “I also like Mousa Dembele a lot. He’s the nicest guy, so humble, down-to-earth, and he has so much power. I hope the talent I see in him will come out even more. He’s already doing a great job.

“Spurs have great players, a great dynamic and cohesion in the team. I like that there are a lot of players who can chip in with goals and assists. I like that. The team is so versatile and still very young. It’s young, fresh. I love it!”
Eriksen and Dembele are already highly regarded and getting the stamp of approval from a legend like Davids just solidifies their standing in the game.
Spurs finished second in the Premier League last season and are hoping to go one better this campaign, but are yet to add to their squad with less than a week remaining before kick off.
