Celtic are reportedly interested in signing the Newcastle United goalkeeper.

According to The Chronicle, Celtic are interested in a deal for £3 million-rated Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow.
The 28-year-old hasn’t managed a Premier League appearance for Newcastle in nearly 18 months.
Celtic have two good keepers in the form of Scott Bain and Craig Gordon, but the latter turns 37 this year and therefore maybe the Hoops should be looking to the future.
And if Eden Hazard is to be believed, Darlow is a fine keeper.
The Magpies star caught Hazard’s attention when Chelsea beat Rafael Benitez’s side 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in December of 2017.
Darlow made a number of good saves on that occasion, so much so that the Belgian superstar gave him a shout-out during his post-match interview on the Blues’ website.
He said: “I have to say that is a great goalkeeper who saved two great chances. Like I say, I should score more goals, but two is good and we won the game.”
Coming from a player of Hazard’s vintage, that is high praise for the reported Celtic target and it’ll be interesting to see if he winds up at Parkhead.
He didn’t do a whole lot wrong to be displaced at St James’s Park. Martin Dubravka, signed 18 months ago, just did a whole lot right.
If Darlow joins the Bhoys it has to be considered a coup for them.
