Eden Hazard is considered one of the Premier League’s greatest forwards, and his legacy at Chelsea is a big part of that.

Over his 245 appearances in England’s top flight, he found the net 85 times and set up another 54 goals, giving him a total of 139 direct goal involvements.

But it wasn’t just about individual stats. Hazard’s impact translated into silverware, with the Belgian helping Chelsea to two Premier League titles during his stint at Stamford Bridge.

It’s no wonder he often gets mentioned in the same breath as players like Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale.

WhoScored have shared their list of the highest-rated Premier League forwards since they began tracking data.

Hazard finished just behind Suarez, who led the list with a score of 7.87. The former Chelsea man was close behind at 7.64.

Bale rounded out the top three with a rating of 7.61, while names like Robin van Persie, Alexis Sanchez, Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Sergio Aguero, Mohamed Salah and Wayne Rooney filled out the rest of WhoScored’s rankings.

Speaking about his early days in west London, Hazard talked about how Jose Mourinho dropped him for missing training after losing his passport in France.

But despite a few setbacks early on, Hazard’s time at Stamford Bridge was filled with success. Alongside his two league titles, he also won two Europa Leagues, an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup during his stay with the Blues.

Eden Hazard’s standout season in the Premier League

While Chelsea didn’t lift the title in 2018/19, that season still stands out as Hazard’s best individual campaign at the club.

Hazard finished that season with 16 goals and 15 assists from his 37 appearances. On top of that, he averaged 3.7 dribbles per game, more than anyone else in the league according to WhoScored.

He capped off that season by picking up the Playmaker award, with no other player managing more assists than his total of 15.

It was one of the most impressive campaigns we’ve seen from an attacker in Premier League history.
