Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe wants to sell Ryan Fraser in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic.
Eddie Howe wants to offload Newcastle winger Ryan Fraser
The report published this morning has claimed that Howe is not picking Fraser in his Newcastle team in case he picks up an injury and is unable to leave this month.
Newcastle want to sell the 28-year-old, but the Premier League club will listen to loan offers for the winger as well.
According to the report, the £63,000-a-week (SalarySport) winger ‘has started just three league games this season and has not played for Newcastle since October’.
The Athletic have added further information on why Howe wants to offload the Scotland international wingernow.
Howe reportedly wants to sign a defensive midfielder in the January transfer window.

The Englishman has has 27 senior players and can only register 25 for the rest of the season.
So, Howe needs to make room in his squad for a new signing.
And Fraser is a player the Newcastle boss is open to offloading this month.
Leaving St. James’ Park
In our view, if Ryan Fraser gets the chance to leave Newcastle United on loan in the January transfer window, then he should take it.
There is no point in the winger wasting his time at St. James’ Park.
At 28, Fraser is in his prime years, and he would be an asset for another club in the Premier League or for a team aiming to win automatic promotion from the Championship.
