Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United have been linked with Joshua King of Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.

Eddie Howe, Manager of AFC Bournemouth looks on prior to the Premier League match between Southampton and AFC Bournemouth at St Mary's Stadium on April 28, 2018 in Southampton, England.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has told The Daily Echo that he will not sell reported Newcastle United target Joshua King in the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Newcastle are interested in signing King from Premier League rivals Bournemouth in the summer.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that the 26-year-old Norway international forward is valued at £20 million.

Worth a pursuit?

King is a good forward who is an important player for Bournemouth, and it is not hard to understand why Howe does not want the Norwegian to leave.

The former Blackburn Rovers forward has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 25 Premier League starts for the Cherries so far this season.

It would make sense for Newcastle to make a move for King, who scored 16 goals and provided two assists in 31 Premier League starts for Bournemouth during the 2016-17 campaign.

King has been on the books of Bournemouth since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Blackburn for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Echo to be worth £1m.
