Jermain Defoe is on loan at Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.

Howe has also said that he has not yet decided if he will recall the former West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur striker from his loan spell at Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Rangers.
Defoe joined Rangers on an 18-month loan deal from Premier League outfit Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
The 36-year-old striker has made six starts and six substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring six goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
According to The Daily Echo, Bournemouth can bring back Defoe from his loan spell at Rangers in July.
Howe told The Daily Echo about Defoe: “To be honest, we’re so engrossed in what we’re doing here that we haven’t had a chance to sit down and discuss anything on that side.
“I’m sure that’ll be one for the summer, but I’m really pleased to see Jermain doing so well.”

Rangers stay
Defoe has struggled to make an impact at Bournemouth, and it will make sense for the Englishman to stay at Rangers next season.
After all, Gerrard’s team will be challenging Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title and will be aiming to win the domestic cup competitions, and Defoe would love to be playing his part in the success for Rangers.
