Eddie Howe has hailed Bruno Guimaraes after the Newcastle United midfielder starred against Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
Newcastle dismantled Fulham 4-1 last weekend and went one better with a thrashing of another West London club in Brentford.
Bruno Guimaraes scored twice whilst Jacob Murphy, Miguel Almiron and an own goal from Ethan Pinnock secured a thumping win.
Nine goals in two games is hugely encouraging for Newcastle, and Bruno Guimaraes was the driving force on Saturday.

Eddie Howe has hailed Bruno Guimaraes
We know how good Bruno Guimaraes can be and he really showed it with a match-winning display against the Bees.
The Brazilian midfielder opened the scoring with a superb header as he latched onto Kieran Trippier’s cross.
Bruno Guimaraes was back at it again in the second half, driving through midfield to fire a low shot past David Raya in the Brentford goal.
That came just moments after Ivan Toney had hauled Brentford back into the game from the penalty spot.
The Newcastle fans gave Bruno Guimaraes an incredible ovation when he came off the pitch and it was certainly deserved.
Newcastle boss Howe has now told Football365 that he thinks Bruno Guimaraes is ultimately a ‘bargain’ in the current transfer market.
Newcastle paid around £40million to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon in January and Howe is clearly happy with that price.
“I find it difficult with that number, but I would say that he’s a bargain in today’s current climate,” said Howe. “He’s absolutely a bargain because he’s had a huge effect on the team and the club. In today’s market, that is a relatively modest sum – which I can’t really believe I’m saying – but it is. It’s an amazing thing for us to have him, it’s not just the player, it’s the person as well. I can’t say how good a person he is.”
“He’s a pleasure to coach and be around. He’s a really positive person, an energiser and someone I love to coach and be with. I think everyone here connected with the club – me, the players, the supporters – absolutely love him,” he added.
This may sting for Arsenal, whose Brazilian technical director Edu had been tracking Bruno Guimaraes for a while.
The Daily Mail reported that Arsenal did fancy signing Bruno Guimaraes in January but they were ‘indecisive and slow’ when it came to closing a deal, allowing Newcastle to swoop in.
Arsenal’s midfield is performing well this season but it’s hard not to imagine just how good Bruno Guimaraes could have been under Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal may well have missed their chance now, with Newcastle no doubt reluctant to sell in the coming years unless they receive a ridiculous offer.
