Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has suggested The Daily Echo that reported Everton and Southampton target Ryan Fraser will not leave in the January transfer widow.

According to The Sun, Everton and Southampton are interested in signing Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth this month.

The British tabloid has claimed that the Toffees may make a bid of around £15 million for the 24-year-old winger.

Bournemouth manager Howe, though, has made it clear that he has no plans to sell the Scotland international this month.

When asked about the speculation surrounding Fraser, Howe told The Daily Echo: “He has a huge future here. When you consider his age and the journey we have been on with Ryan to get to this point.

“Why commit to that journey, all the work and sacrifice from his side in coming here from Aberdeen, to then lose that? Ryan is a massive part of we are doing.”

Stats

Fraser has been on the books of Bournemouth since January 2013 when he joined from Scottish club Aberdeen for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Echo to be worth £400,000.

The Scotland international winger has progressed well in recent years at the Cherries and is now an important player in Howe’s team.

According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old has made 20 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Bournemouth so far this season, scoring five goals and providing nine assists in the process.
