Eddie Hearn seems fully set on the idea of fighting Dana White, even if it doesn’t work out in his favour.
Hearn posted some training clips online, tagging White and telling him he’s getting ready to go. That came after their conversation about possibly facing each other in the ring. Even before that, there was a rumour that Hearn is serious about making this fight happen and has even been training for it.
While Misfits Boxing were looking to put up $10 million purses for both men to get them into the ring together, there’s one man who could easily top those numbers.
The pair have both confirmed that Turki Alalshikh has shown some interest in making it happen, and while Dana may not be as convinced at this stage, Hearn looks ready to do this. The Matchroom chairman appears intent on lacing up the gloves, but we’re still quite a way from seeing if this really takes shape.
Eddie Hearn says he’s ready for Dana White fight and claims they’d both pocket $30 million

Dana White has been quick to shoot down any real chance of a boxing match against Eddie Hearn, making it clear he doesn’t see the appeal.
The UFC president has dismissed the idea several times, even after Turki Alalshikh tried to get the ball rolling. White hasn’t held back in calling Hearn names either, saying their lack of skill would put them early on any card.
Despite this, Hearn recently claimed that each man would walk away with $30 million if the fight went ahead and admitted that recent discussions have made him more open to stepping into the ring.
“We would make 30 million each,” he said via The Ariel Helwani Show. “So, I’m all over it. So, stick me in, put my name down, find me a pair of shorts and I’ll travel. He called me out, I accept.”
He added that while White looked better than expected in training clips – at least better than him – that didn’t bother him anymore now that his interest and earnings were increasing.
“I’m very limited but I’ll have a right go,” he continued. “I’ll get myself in good shape and I’m a big lump and I think I’ll knock him out.
“But also if I get knocked out and I make $30 million it’s not the saddest day in the world.”
This isn’t the first time someone has tried to coax White into a boxing match without success.
Dana White recalls Tito Ortiz trying to make a boxing match happen in 2024
Back in 2024, around the time Jake Paul was preparing to fight Mike Tyson, former UFC fighter Tito Ortiz tried to set up a boxing match with Dana White.
The UFC boss couldn’t recall all the specifics but did remember hearing something about it from Lorenzo Fertitta, who served as the organisation’s CEO from 2001 to 2016.
“You know what, I think Lorenzo did say something like that,” he said. “I’m 50 f—— six years old. I’m gonna be 57 in July. I fight to get out of bed every day, okay.”
White and Ortiz have a long history of conflict, including an incident where they reportedly came to blows on a plane.
