Eddie Hearn has claimed that the Tottenham Hotspur stadium is ‘one of the best I have ever seen’ ahead of Anthony Joshua’s unified heavyweight showdown with Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night, as he told his Instagram followers.
Tottenham’s newly-built one-billion stadium is set to showcase one of the bouts of the year when Joshua faces-off against the unbeaten Usyk in North London.
Watford-born Joshua is set to put his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO titles on the line against Ukrainian, who has already beaten two Brits in Tony Bellew and Derek Chisora.
But, for both fighters, this is going to be one of their toughest tests yet and Joshua will be hoping the 70,000 crowd inside Tottenham’s stadium can provide him with that extra lift he is going to need as the rounds tick on.
Joshua’s promoter, Hearn, has been a part of some star-studded fights during his career, including putting up fights at some of the most iconic of venues.
But when taking a tour of Tottenham’s stadium, he did admit that it was an ‘unbelievable’ place.
“Just to get you a little excited about what is to go down on Saturday night,” said Hearn.
“The unified World Heavyweight championship. AJ against Usyk, here at the unbelievable Tottenham stadium.
“It goes down right here in front of 70,000 people at, what I must say, probably one of the best stadiums I have ever seen.”

The home crowd weren’t able to push their team to victory over the weekend as Chelsea landed a number of blows on Nuno Espirito Santo and his Tottenham side.
Joshua will be hoping the same doesn’t follow suit on Saturday night because many are hoping for that potential mega-fight against Tyson Fury.
Whilst that’s on the bucket list of the boxing fanbase, Joshua has to do his job at the weekend, whilst Fury has another rematch against Deontay Wilder.
Either way, Tottenham’s stadium could see a record attendance in what is the biggest fight of Joshua’s career, so far.
