Eddie Gray has suggested to LUTV that Paudie O’Connor should be part of the Leeds United starting lineup against Barnsley on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds will return to action in a few hours’ time when they take on Barnsley at Elland Road in the Championship.

The Whites will head into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the league.

O’Connor started the game for the Whites and played for the entire 90 minutes, and former Leeds winger and manager Gray has suggested that head coach Paul Heckingbottom should include the 20-year-old centre-back in the starting lineup.

Need to win

Leeds are in a bad run of form at the moment, and it is imperative that the Whites win today’s match against Barnsley.

The Whites have a much better team that the Tykes do, but the players are underperforming and the fans are hugely frustrated with how the season has panned out.
