Leeds have made a bright start to the season in the Championship, but Gray wants to see reinforcements added.
Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has suggested that the Whites will possibly need to bring in two players during the January transfer window if they hope to capitalise on their promising start to the season, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
Garry Monk’s men are currently sixth in the Championship and have arguably provided supporters with more optimism than they have been able to enjoy for several years.

Nevertheless, the division is, once again, incredibly congested with the Peacocks currently just one point closer to the summit than the bottom three. And Gray has outlined how important next month’s window could be to the side’s fortunes.
“They need to bring one or two players in,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post. “If there’s going to be a serious push for promotion then that needs to happen. A few extra bodies and a bit more quality would make a difference.
“The young players have done really well and there’s a lot more consistency about this team but O’Kane’s been a big player and there are times when you need more experience in the midfield. It’s all about managing games and reading games – acknowledging when to push on and when to sit back a bit more. That’s what experience gives you,” he added.
While Leeds have looked to be one of the more impressive sides in the league since they beat Blackburn in September, their results against the very best teams in the division hint that they are not the finished article and could have a lot of work to do to secure a top six spot.
They have lost to both Newcastle and Brighton 2-0 in the last month. And while both games offered reasons for optimism, they perhaps confirm that sticking with what they have beyond January would be a massive gamble.
