Speaking to Leeds United’s official YouTube channel, Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has spoken about how summer signing Raphinha has proven him wrong since joining his former club.
Raphinha was arguably Leeds’ man of the match in their 1-0 win over Everton as he netted the decisive goal against the Toffees.
Gray has said that the winger has settled in a lot quicker than he expected him to and that his first impressions of Raphinha have now been proven wrong.
“I thought he was tremendous and I think it suits him floating about the pitch, turning up on the right side and the left side, through the centre of the pitch where he scored his goal from,” Gray said.
“He’s settled in very quickly. A lot quicker than I thought he would, when I first saw him I thought it would take him a little bit of time, but I think he’s gotten used to the pace of the Premier League and the players he’s playing with and he’s comfortable with his own game.
“I think he’ll go from strength to strength because he’s a very talented player.”

The former Leeds star has been proven wrong by Raphinha, and he seems very happy to have been.
The winger has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, and while it took him a while to get his first start due to Bielsa’s philosophy of giving new signings time to bed-in in training.
Since coming into the squad the £17 million signing has been electric, earning praise from a number of pundits, and Gray believes that he will only get better in the coming weeks, which is an incredibly exciting prospect.
