The on-loan winger has been up and down for Leeds United this season.

Eddie Gray has told LUTV that Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko must be more productive.

The 22-year-old joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Sporting Lisbon in the summer.

The verdict isn’t yet out on the young Frenchman but there has been signs of real promise, and he has one goal in 12 Championship appearances – 10 of which were starting berths – and two assists.

That being said, the former Bordeaux flyer has also been a tad wasteful in the final third, and the Whites legend suggests that is certainly an area to improve.

When asked if Leeds have been wasteful over the last few games, Gray told LUTV: “Yeah and funnily enough the guilty party, and only because he’s done more than most to get into good areas, is the boy Sacko.

“He’s just got to be a little calmer and get his head up a little bit quicker in and around the goal.”

Leeds as a whole have missed 15 goalscoring chances in the Championship season. Only Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City have fluffed more opportunities.

United had won four of their last five league games before Saturday, but a 1-0 defeat at Steve McClaren’s Derby County has dampened the mood a little.

Garry Monk’s side lost 1-0 at Bristol City a couple of weeks ago, and they got back on the horse straight away with a 2-1 win over Barnsley a few days later. Monk will be hoping for a similar response when they clash with Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.
