Leeds United beat Sunderland 2-0 on Saturday, with Samu Saiz scoring one and setting up another.
Eddie Gray has told LUTV that he was impressed by Samu Saiz in Leeds United’s 2-0 win at Sunderland on Saturday.
Leeds put their disappointment over Chris Wood – who omitted himself from the squad as a transfer to Burnley looks imminent – to one side as the Whites bounced back from two disappointing 0-0 draws to comfortably beat the Black Cats on Wearside.
Goals from Saiz and Stuart Dallas in both halves secured the victory for Thomas Christiansen’s side, who have eight points from a possible 12 so far.

It has been an excellent start to life in the Championship for the Spanish attacker – who bagged a League Cup hat-trick earlier this month – as the £3 million signing also set up Dallas’s header in the second half with a fine cross.
Asked by LUTV who stood out for him, the Leeds legend said: “I think Saiz. I think he played very well. First goal, great touch inside the box and a great finish and he was also involved in the second goal with a terrific cross for Dallas.”
United now host Newport in a second-round Carbao Cup clash this week, before resuming Championship duties with a tricky trip to in-form Nottingham Forest next weekend.
Two victories would send Leeds into the international break on a huge high.
