Liam Cooper has established himself as an important player for Leeds United.

Eddie Gray has told LUTV that Leeds United defender Liam Cooper sets the standard for his teammates.
The former Leeds winger has also said that the Whites missed Cooper during their Championship match against Sheffield Wednesday away from home at the Hillsborough Stadium before the international break.
The 26-year-old central defender, who can also operate as a left-back, was suspended for the match against Wednesday which Thomas Christiansen’s side lost 3-0.

Cooper is back in contention for this afternoon’s Championship match against Reading at Elland Road.
Leeds legend Gray has outlined the importance of Cooper, who has been on the books of the Whites since the summer of 2014 when he joined from Chesterfield for a transfer fee reported by The Star to be worth £750,000.
“I think we missed Cooper, the physical side he brings to the game,” Gray told LUTV. “That sets the standard for the rest of them.”

Cooper is a very good defender and knows the Championship inside out, and the 26-year-old is playing well at the moment.
The former Hull City man will be key to the Whites’ chances of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.
