Leeds United won their first game of the season on Saturday.
Eddie Gray has acknowledged to LUTV that Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko had a good game against Sheffield Wednesday, but believes the winger still needs to work on his end product in the final third.
Leeds got their Championship campaign up and running at Hillsborough by beating the Owls 2-0 for what was their first league win at the fourth time of asking this season.
Second-half goals from Marcus Antonsson and Chris Wood did the damage for Leeds in a big win that will settle everybody at the Whites – including manager Garry Monk – down a little following a test first few weeks of the season.
Sacko, one of nine summer signings made by Monk, set up Antonsson’s opener on 63 minutes after being called into the first XI by the former Swansea boss.
And Gray says he did well, but still wants to see the Sporting Lisbon loanee work on his final ball when he gets into attacking areas.
“Sacko did well today. He’s getting at people, but his final ball could still be a little bit better at times,” he told LUTV. “But he made the goal and that’s what you do. You keep at it and keep getting balls across the box.”
Leeds visit Luton Town in a second-round League Cup trip on Tuesday, before visiting Nottingham Forest in a tricky last fixture before the two-week international break in September.
