Andy Lonergan played for Leeds United against Reading at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday.

Lonergan featured for Leeds in the Championship match against Reading at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper, who joined the Whites in the summer transfer window after leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers, replaced Felix Wiedwald in the starting lineup.

Leeds legend Gray was following the match, and the former Scotland international winger has given his verdict on the performance of the ex-Preston North End star.
“I thought Andy Lonergan made a couple of good saves in goal,” Gray told LUTV. “I thought he did well. It was a difficult game for him to come in here.”

Lonergan’s performance against Reading was very encouraging, and he deserves to keep his place in the Leeds team for the next game at least.
Wiedwald, who also moved to Leeds in the summer transfer window, is a good goalkeeper, but the German’s recent performances have not been great.
Leeds will return to action next weekend when they take on Bristol City away from home in the Championship.
The West Yorkshire outfit will be determined to return to winning ways against City.
