Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United will face each other at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship this afternoon.

Leeds United will return to action this afternoon when they take on Sheffield Wednesday away from home at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship.
The Whites will head into the match against Wednesday on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Cardiff City away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium in the league.
Thomas Christiansen’s side’s recent form has been patchy, and the fans will hope that the team head into the two-week international break on a positive note.

Wednesday are not in great form either and find themselves as low as 15th in the Championship table at the moment with just 13 points from 10 matches.
Carlos Carvalhal’s side will head into this afternoon’s encounter against Leeds on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City away from home at St Andrew’s in the league.
It followed a 4-2 loss at the hands of Sheffield United in the Steel City derby at the Hillsborough Stadium.

Leeds legend Eddie Gray, 69, has explained why Leeds should be confident of winning against Wednesday.
“I think the good thing going to Hillsborough for us is they are on a sticky run themselves now, another defeat for them the other night and we have got a recent record there, the last few times we have gone we have won the games, so we should be going there with a lot of confidence,” Gray told LUTV.
“This is a crunch time now,” added Gray. “The next 10 games between now and the Christmas period, this is when the league usually sorts itself out.”
