The Whites are fourth in the Championship ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.

Former Leeds United hero Eddie Gray has told LUTV that the one way in which the club are lagging behind their Championship rivals is in terms of creating chances.
The Whites are enjoying their best season in recent memory, but need a strong run off form in the final stretch of the season to ensure that their promotion challenge does not fizzle out.
Garry Monk’s side are fourth in the Championship table going into Friday night’s fixtures, some 11 points off a top-two spot, but with only a five-point cushion in the playoffs.
The West Yorkshire club have been largely impressive on the field this season, winning 20 of their 37 league games, largely off the back of top scorer Chris Wood’s 25 goals.
However, they have still not quite been able to keep pace with the likes of Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion at the top.
Former Whites hero Gray believes he knows what the difference between Leeds and that very top level has been this term, suggesting that his old side just have not been creating enough clear-cut chances.
Gray told LUTV: “The disappointing thing is that we are still very solid but the amount of chances we are creating at present is just not up there with the best teams in the league.
“We are very good in stopping teams from scoring, stopping teams from playing. It’s just having that little bit of quality and little bit of confidence to use our ability in the last third of the pitch. I think they have got the talent there.”
Leeds have a golden opportunity to close the gap on the top two on Saturday, when they host second-placed Brighton at Elland Road in the day’s later kick-off.
Should they lose, however, they will likely find themselves 14 points adrift of the top two with only 24 left to play for. Victory may well be imperative to keeping their slim automatic promotion hopes alive.
