Leeds United defender Liam Cooper is compared to Aston Villa summer signing John Terry by Eddie Gray.

Eddie Gray has told LUTV that Leeds United defender Liam Cooper is a leader.
The Leeds legend, 69, has also compared the 26-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a left-back, to Chelsea great John Terry.
Terry, who joined Championship club Aston Villa in the summer transfer window on a free, is one of the greatest players in Chelsea history.
The former England international defender started his professional club football career at the Blues and played for the London club until the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, the 36-year-old centre-back won the Premier League title and the FA Cup five times times each, and the Champions League and the Europa League once each.

“What he does is he leads by example,” Gray told LUTV about Cooper. “He is very enthusiastic, you get players like that that pick other people up.
“You look at the likes of John Terry when he was at Chelsea. He is a leader, and I think he has that in his make-up, Liam Cooper, to be a leader.”

Cooper has been on the books of Leeds since the summer of 2014 when he joined from Chesterfield.
The former Scotland Under-19 international signed a new four-year contract with the West Yorkshire outfit in August which will see him remain at Elland Road until the end of the 2020-21 season.
