Wolverhampton Wanderers won against Leeds United in the Championship on Wednesday.

Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has spoken highly of Wolverhampton Wanderers to LUTV.

The former Scotland international winger was impressed with the performance of Wolves against Leeds at the Molineux Stadium in the Championship on Wednesday evening.

The Wanderers played well and won the game 4-1 against the Whites, who had Ronaldo Vieira sent off on the hour mark.

Leeds legend Gray was impressed with the way Nuno’s side played, and has a warning for the rest of the teams in the Championship.

Leeds manager Eddie Gray (2nd from R) shouts instructions during the FA Barclaycard Premiership match between Fulham and Leeds United at Loftus Road on March 13, 2004 in London.

“They are playing with a lot of confidence,” Gray told LUTV about Wolves. “They have good players.

“You only need to look at the league, look at the position they are in, look at the games they have won, the games they have lost. I don’t think they are going to get away.

“The funny thing about is that they spent a lot of money, and if they are there or thereabouts in January, which they are going to be, they might invest again, and if they do that, then the rest of the league could be chasing shadows if they keep performing like they have been performing and they keep the same enthsisiam.”

Wolves have been the best team in the Championship so far this season and have also played the best football.

The Wanderers are very consistent, both in their results and in their performances, and it should not surprise anyone if they win the league title.

The season is still very young, and it will be interesting to see how Wolves cope with the fixture congestion in the coming weeks and months.

Meanwhile, Leeds need to put together a run of positive results soon in order to maintain their challenge for the Championship playoffs.
