Felix Wiedwald did not start for Leeds United against Reading at Elland Road in the Championship at the weekend.

Wiedwald did not start for Leeds in their Championship game against Reading at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper was replaced by fellow summer signing Andy Lonergan in the starting lineup.
The 33-year-old, who joined Leeds after leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers, played quite well for the Whites, who lost the match 1-0.
Leeds legend Gray has suggested that head coach Christiansen was right to drop Wiedwald in favour of Lonergan.

“It was the right decision,” Gray told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “I’ve heard people say it was a big decision but to my mind it wasn’t.
“If you’ve got an outfield player who isn’t performing, you leave him out. That’s why you’ve got a squad.
“Thomas had to make that change and Lonergan did well – certainly well enough to stay in the team.”

Wiedwald is a good goalkeeper and he made a strong start to the season, but the German’s performances in recent matches have been disappointing.
The 27-year-old has made mistake, and Lonergan deservedly got the chance against Reading.
Lonergan played well against the Royals, and it is hard to see head coach Christiansen drop him from the team for the next game.
