Leeds United lost against Millwall at The Den in the Championship at the weekend.

Eddie Gray has told LUTV that the defeat to Millwall at the weekend was a wake-up call for Leeds United.

Leeds suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday afternoon, as they went down 1-0 to Millwall away from home at The Den in the Championship.

The performance of the Whites against the Lions was far from impressive, and it is hard to argue that the home team did not deservedly pick up all there points from the encounter.

Leeds legend Gray has said that the loss to Millwall on Saturday afternoon was a “wake-up call” for Thomas Christiansen’s side.

“Their front boys were putting us under pressure at the back, they made it difficult,” Gray told LUTV.

“They probably went in at half time thinking, ‘Well, I don’t know how we we not in front’.

“The same thing looked like it was going to happen in the second half. Eventually they got the goal they deserved. So it’s just a wake-up call for our boys in general.”

Leeds have been one of the best teams in the Championship this season, and the players do have it in themselves to bounce back from the defeat to Millwall.

The Whites have some wonderful players, and the Elland Road faithful should remain optimistic about the upcoming matches.

The Championship club will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Premier League team Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the EFL Cup.
