Celtic midfielder Eboue Kouassi has been praising Scott Brown for being Brendan Rodgers’ side’s leader.
Kouassi admits that Brown has been a leader ever since he arrived at Celtic in a £3 million deal from Krasnodar 18 months ago (Daily Record).
But the central midfielder insists that he is not scared the Bhoys’ enforcer and has suggested he has even get the better of him a few times in training.
“He is the big boss in the team,” Kouassi said. “He is our captain. The big boss is the gaffer but Scott is the other boss, the boss on the field.
“What did I think when I first met Scott? I wouldn’t say I was scared of him. I have sometimes kicked him in training! But I respected him right away.”
Kouassi is currently fighting to save his Celtic career, as he has not made much of an impact for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
The youngster has only been given limited opportunities for Celtic since arriving, and has failed to nail down a place in the starting line-up.
Kouassi has already played for Celtic this season, and could be given more chances to impress before the league action starts up again.
Celtic won their first competitive clash of the season 3-0 against Alashkert, and look like progressing in the Champions League qualification rounds.
