Lord Sugar has urged Tottenham Hotspur on Twitter to send Gareth Bale back to Real Madrid.

The former Tottenham chairman made the comments about Bale while watching the winger in action against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

The 31-year-old winger started the match and played until the 61st minute when Lucas Moura came on in his place.

The Wales international returned to Tottenham on loan from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020.

Former Queens Park Rangers forward Rodney Marsh was not impressed by the performance of Bale either.

Disappointing for Gareth Bale

Much was expected of Bale when he returned to Tottenham in the summer of 2020, but the winger has failed to make a huge impact.

According to WhoScored, the winger has made two starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far this season, scoring one goal in the process.

The winger struggled against Brighton. Bale was ineffective and could not do much of note in attack.

According to WhoScored, Bale played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, won one header, took 31 touches, made one tackle and one clearance, and put in three crosses.
