Scottish Premiership champions Celtic might need to shake up their squad this summer.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers and Stuart Armstrong of Celtic are seen during the UEFA Champions League Qualifying Play-Offs Round First Leg match between Celtic FC and FK Astana at Celtic...

Celtic appear to be planning for the future with youngsters Jack Hendry and Lewis Morgan signed up already and Ryan Christie set to return from his loan spell at Aberdeen.

But who is at risk of being forced out the Parkhead exit?

Stuart Armstrong

Celtic fought tooth and nail to keep Armstrong at Celtic last summer and no wonder. The former Dundee United midfielder plundered 17 goals from central midfield and was the driving force behind their treble winning campaign.

But since inking that one-year contract extension in august, Armstrong has been a shadow of his former self and the fans are starting to lose patience. The 25-year-old’s deal once again expires in 12 months’ time and, if Celtic receive another offer from the Premier League, Brendan Rodgers will have a very difficult decision to make.

Jozo Simunovic

Like Armstrong, centre-back Simunovic has been linked with a move away with Serie A side Lazio seeing him as a potential successor for Dutch international Virgil van Dijk, as reported by the Daily Record.

Jozo Simunovic of Celtic reacts after being red carded during the Rangers v Celtic Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match at Ibrox Stadium on March 11, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

And, like Armstrong, Simunovic’s form has dropped alarmingly of late. The Mail claimed that Celtic would be open to offers of £7 million in January.

With Hendry and Kristoffer Ajer looking like the future of the Hoops’ defence, the 23-year-old must step up quickly before Celtic decide to cash in.

Mikael Lustig

Mikael Lustig of Celtic urges his team forward during the Betfred League Cup Final between Celtic and Motherwell at Hampden Park on November 26, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Long-serving Swede Lustig might have started 20 Scottish Premiership games this season but, at 31, mistakes are starting to creep into his previously consistent game. The right-back might still be the first-choice at Parkhead but that appears to be under threat with Anthony Ralston, who impressed when given a chance earlier this season, waiting in the wings.

The Daily Record also claims that Celtic are keen on Yeovil Town’s Tom James so Lustig must roll back the years in the final two months of the season with Rodgers seemingly considering replacing him with a younger model.
