Bournemouth fans have reacted on Twitter to Leeds loanee Leif Davis making his full debut for the club on Wednesday night in the Championship.
Scott Parker handed the Elland Road academy product a start as the Cherries beat Birmingham City 2-0.
Rather than playing Davis in his natural left-back spot, the Leeds man was played out on the right-wing by his manager.
Despite having to possibly deal with an uncomfortable full debut, Bournemouth fans liked what they saw from the attack-minded fullback, who was out of his comfort zone.
Davis actually made his Leeds debut not far from St Andrews when Marcelo Bielsa’s side beat Aston Villa 3-2 at Villa Park.
So, there must be something about the Midlands that Davis likes because, once again, he has brought a good omen to the table.
Either way, it was a positive start to life for Davis in Bournemouth colours and it will be interesting to see how he is used going forward – he played 70 minutes last night.
At the end of this loan spell for Davis, there is a view of making this move permanent.
So, whilst he may not put on a Whites shirt again, he will be hoping to lock horns against them, in Bournemouth colours, in the Premier League next season.
If that happens then all has gone well in the South Coast.
