Rangers thumped Kilmarnock 5-0 at Ibrox on Wednesday night.

Rangers got back to winning ways in real style on Wednesday night as they hammered Kilmarnock 5-0 at Ibrox.
The Gers were looking for a major response after a dismal goalless draw with St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon, and Steven Gerrard got what he wanted.
Returning striker Alfredo Morelos put Rangers in front from close range before Kilmarnock goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann was sent off, with Morelos adding a second before the break.
The Colombian added a third before Andy Halliday smashed home number four, and a low finish from Morelos handed him his fourth and Rangers’ fifth of the game.
Rangers advance into the next round of the Scottish Cup after their win, but it didn’t come without controversy after a Kilmarnock penalty appeal went ignored.
Eamonn Brophy was attempting to beat Joe Worrall down the right flank, and went down claiming that the Rangers defender had hauled him to the ground.

Referee Alan Muir waved away the penalty appeals, but with Bachmann sent off and Daniel Candeias escaping a red card for a high challenge, more refereeing controversy is hitting the Scottish game this morning.
Last night though, Killie forward Brophy took to Twitter to post a furious reaction to the decision, questioning just how he could have possibly fallen over his own feet having seen the incident back.
