The Tottenham Hotspur teenager is yet another player to keep a very close eye on in the years ahead.
If you had told Tottenham Hotspur fans that a 17-year-old would get a surprise chance to train with the senior England side most would have expected that player to be Marcus Edwards.
After all, the midfielder has generated plenty of buzz in recent times and he is widely regarded as the jewel in Tottenham’s academy crown.
But with England training at Spurs’ facilities this week, and with many of the club’s youngsters off on international duty of their own, it was another 17-year-old who got the call.

Dylan Duncan is the name on everyone’s lips now, but not so prior to today.
Then he was just another teenage talent known only to those fans who keep a close eye on youth and under-23 football.
That is not to say Duncan is not a talent; only that the majority of Tottenham fans would be forgiven for being caught off guard when the news broke that he was training alongside the great and the good of English football.
What Duncan’s chance shows, more than anything else, is just how deep Tottenham’s strength in depth actually goes.
We all know about Edwards…and Kyle Walker-Peters…and Harry Winks.
We are getting increasingly excited about Tashan Oakley-Boothe and George Marsh.
Ryan Loft, Kazaiah Sterling and Tariq Hinds are all tipped for big futures.
But suddenly it is another Tottenham youngster entirely who is regarded as good enough to train with England.
That is the depth of quality in Tottenham’s academy; and for that reason and many more, the club’s fans should be very excited about the future.
