Aston Villa’s poor start to the Championship campaign continued this week with a draw against Brentford.
Villa let in yet another late goal against Brentford. The result means they are still on just one win in the Championship this season.

Dwight Yorke, who spent nine years at Villa Park, believes that the club need to take a leaf out of Newcastle United’s book when it comes to their Championship performances – and get their swagger back.
He told talkSPORT yesterday (15/09/2016):
“There just seems to be a cloud over Aston Villa at the moment.
“I would like to see the winning mentality, the winning focus in terms of we are a Premier League team, we have spent big money on these strikers this is what Aston Villa is all about.
“The same sort of mentality that Newcastle have at this point in time.
“That’s what you need to take to get out of that division.”
Aston Villa players look dejected
Newcastle and Villa were of course both relegated from the Premier League last season and have spent big in the transfer market in order to get straight back.
Newcastle had a shaky start to life in the Championship but are now in fantastic form and are playing with real confidence.
It is that mentality that former Villa hero Yorke wants to see at Villa Park. A belief that they are going to win every game they go into.
If the club can get to the level Newcastle are at right now, then promotion could very well be an opportunity for Aston Villa.
