Aston Villa are currently in 12th place in the Championship table.
Dwight Yorke has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 11th January, that he believes Aston Villa will make the play offs this season.
Villa began the campaign slowly, under the stewardship of Roberto Di Matteo, and they turned to Steve Bruce to get their season back on track.
Since taking charge, Bruce has definitely improved Villa’s results, but they have not quite made enough progress to make it into the top six yet.

The claret and blues are currently in 12th place in the Championship table, and they are six points away from the play off spots.
But Yorke has seen enough from Villa to suggest that they still have a chance of claiming a spot in the promotion deciding fixtures at the end of the season.
“Yeah, absolutely,” Yorke said, when asked whether his former side would make the play offs.

“I think Bruce has done a tremendous job turning them around. They may have come unstuck a little bit in recent times, but it’s certainly better. They are not far off the play off positions, and you only need to put together a run of games to fire yourself up the table. I’m fairly confident that Villa will get into the play offs.”
Villa will have to start winning on a more regular basis if they are to make the top six, as they are already playing catch up.
The Midlands side are next in action this weekend, when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
