Newcastle United-owned West Bromwich Albion striker Dwight Gayle has spoken highly of Leicester City-owned midfielder Harvey Barnes to The Express & Star.

Barnes moved to Championship club West Brom on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Leicester in the summer transfer window.

Gayle also switched to the Baggies in the summer, joining from Newcastle on loan for the 2018-19 campaign.

The former Crystal Palace striker has been playing well for West Brom so far this season, and the 28-year-old is enjoying playing with 20-year-old midfielder Barnes.

Gayle told The Express & Star: “Me and Jay are getting on really well and Harvey (Barnes) behind is perfect to feed us for what we want to do.”
