The striker has 16 goals in all competitions for Newcastle this season.
Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle has told the Chronicle it is great to be given the kind of service he has enjoyed this season.
The striker joined the Magpies in the summer transfer window as Rafa Benitez looked to add to his options.
He has proven to be a smart signing, to say the least, with 16 goals in all competitions to his name so far.
He was on the score sheet once again on the weekend when he bagged a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Birmingham City.

His tally has been helped by the service he has been receiving and Gayle says it is great to have such quality behind him.
“Playing with the quality we’ve got it can come from anywhere,” he told the Chronicle.
“It is fantastic to be provided with the service from the great players we have got behind me.
“For me, scoring is the best thing. To be helping the team pick up three points to go back to the top of the table is great.”

Gayle will now be hoping that their midfielders can continue to provide for Gayle for the rest of the season.
The striker’s goals have been key so far and helped them to the top of the Championship table.
With a return to the Premier League their main aim, they will need him to keep finding the back of the net on a regular basis for the rest of the season.
