Tottenham Hotspur earned a hard-fought three points against Newcastle United at the weekend.

Tottenham ace Davinson Sanchez spoke to reporters after his side’s win over Newcastle on Saturday, and shared what he and his teammates discussed prior to the game, as quoted by the Mirror.
Spurs currently sit in third position in the Premier League table, and are now just five points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, after Jürgen Klopp’s men dropped points away at West Ham last night.
It really has been quite incredible how Tottenham have managed to stay in the hunt for the Premier League title, considering the fact that they have had so many of their key players out injured for prolonged periods of time.
A key for Spurs over the next few months will be their defensive solidarity, and Sanchez told reporters how that was something that the team discussed before Saturday’s win over Newcastle, as quoted by the Mirror:

“I enjoy it more when I help to keep a clean sheet, like in this game. Before the game, we talked about the physicality and that we had to be ready in every single moment of the match to help the team. I think we did that.”
Sanchez and co will have to be on their very best form between now and the end of the season, if Tottenham are to have any chance of winning the Premier League title, but one thing is very clear, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are not going away without a fight this term.
