The summer signing from AZ Alkmaar has struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane.
It has not been the ideal season for Vincent Janssen at Tottenham Hotspur. Janssen joined Spurs in the summer for a fee, according to Sky Sports, in the region of £18.6 million. The Dutchman has struggled for form since making his move to Spurs from AZ Alkmaar, where he had an impressive record of 30 goals in 43 appearances, in the summer. He has failed to score from open play and looks to be off the pace for English football at present.
He was brought in to provide cover for Harry Kane in the striking position but has had minimal impact when given the chance at White Hart Lane.

In January, he was linked with a possible exit from Spurs, with Turkish giants Galatasaray said to be interested.
But he decided to stay and fight for his place, with his international coach pleased with his attitude.
Danny Blind, the Dutch international boss and father of Manchester United man Daley Blind, had this to say about the Tottenham misfit in an interview with Studio Voetbal:
“I had contact with him last week. And also just before the transfer deadline, for he had opportunities to leave.
“Vincent has chosen to do this full year at Tottenham. There is also something to be said for that. I have called him and talked about his situation.
“When I suggested that there is interest. He chose to fight.”

There is no doubting the Dutchman’s effort and Tottenham fans appreciate that, but he has struggled to have a meaningful impact at Spurs in his first season at the club.
It remains to be seen if he can improve in the second half of the season, but Blind will no doubt hope his number one striker can find a way to thrive in North London.
If not, a Tottenham exit would look likely.
