Plenty of names have been doing the rounds in terms of the Spurs vacancy in recent weeks.
The likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Julian Nagelsmann have led the way in terms of speculation.
There have also been other names in the frame, such as Feyenoord’s Arne Slot.
The Independent recently claimed that Tottenham have been using ‘back channels’ to test his interest in the job.
Pundits and journalists from the Netherlands seem to think Slot has a good chance of landing the Spurs role.
Simon Zwartkruis, Stef de Bont and Kalum van Oudheusden discussed the 44-year-old on Voetbal International.
They debate saw them claim that Slot ‘has a good chance to become the manager at Spurs’.
Our view
Slot is an incredibly talented young manager who really looks ready for a big career move.
Feyenoord are closing in on the Eredivisie title and are also in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Clearly, Slot knows how to get his team fighting for silverware, which obviously is something Spurs need.
However, what could really stand out for Tottenham about Slot is his style of play.
Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan recently provided a glowing endorsement of the 44-year-old.
He described Slot as a “maniac” who plays “ultra-attacking” football, and likened him to Pep Guardiola.
Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Feyenoord’s Iranian winger, even said Slot is ‘the best coach in the world at the moment’.
