The forward has been highly impressive since joining Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic has told the Daily Mail that he is not surprised by Sadio Mane’s strong start to life at Liverpool.
Mane made the switch to Liverpool in the summer transfer window in a big money move from the Saints.
At the time some eyebrows were raised at the price that Jurgen Klopp had paid to sign his man.
However, he has quickly become one of the star players at Anfield, forming one part of a deadly forward trio alongside Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.
So far Mane has six goals and two assists to his name and Tadic says he has not been surprised by his start.
“I’m not surprised because he is a great player,” he told the Daily Mail.
“He’s a great professional. I think they have a really good team. When you have a good team and good players around you then it’s not a problem for him. He’s been playing at a really good level.”
Liverpool will now be hoping Mane can maintain his form and help Liverpool to a title challenge this season.
The Reds are currently top of the Premier League table and a point ahead of second-placed Chelsea heading into this weekend’s games.
Mane has been key to Liverpool getting to that position and helping him to maintain that form throughout the campaign will be crucial to them challenging between now and May.
