Rangers have a number of wingers at the club, frankly too many in truth – and that has resulted in some going out on loan.

The Gers signed Jordan Jones, Sheyi Ojo, Brandon Barker, Ryan Kent and Jake Hastie this summer as well as adding Greg Stewart too.

Steven Gerrard seemingly felt that Hastie wasn’t ready for first-team action at Ibrox, so sent him out on loan to Rotherham United for senior experience.

Another player sent out on loan was Josh McPake, as the 18-year-old wide man was given a chance to go and play first-team football with Dundee given that he wouldn’t be playing for Gerrard’s side.

The winger has been backed for a huge future at Ibrox, and made a real impact for Dundee in their 2-1 win over Alloa Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

McPake set up Jordan McGhee’s first-half winner with fine pace and skill, before going off injured early in the second with a knock.

Dundee fans have been taking to Twitter to hail the Rangers talent, branding him a ‘revelation’ and ‘sensational’, whilst praising him for destroying an Alloa defender.

Others called him the best player on the pitch and hope he gets more starts, which will leave Rangers fans very excited about his future once he returns to Glasgow.
