Sunderland are currently in 23rd place in the Championship table.

Sunderland have made a dire start to their campaign, and currently sit in 23rd place in the Championship table.
The Black Cats have not tasted victory in the league since August, with concerns rising among supporters that Simon Grayson’s side could be dragged into a relegation fight.
However, Watmore insists that there is still a great deal of positivity from the players at Sunderland – which is not typical for a club in trouble.

“Even though we’re not in a great place in the table I feel like mentally there is a good vibe around the place,” Watmore said. “Sometimes you’re losing and everything’s a disaster and there’s no way you can see any way out. It’s not like that at all.”
Watmore is set to return to the Sunderland fold in the near future, which is a major boost for Grayson.

The young winger has been out of action for much of the campaign so far, but is starting to make his comeback now.
Watmore may be selected to start for Sunderland at the weekend, in their match against Queens Park Rangers.
If Sunderland are able to beat QPR, they could move up in to 19th place in the Championship table.
