Celtic have completed a deal to sign Vakoun Issa Bayo, making the striker their third addition this January.

Bayo is the first permanent transfer Celtic have sealed, following loans for Timothy Weah and Oliver Burke.

The Ivory Coast international joins from Slovakian club Dunajska Streda.

The Slovakian side hailed the move, commenting via Twitter that they were proud to sell to a club of Celtic’s stature.

Bayo is only 21-years-old and had been making a real name for himself.

The striker has scored 18 goals in 23 games this season and so arrives in red hot form.

If he makes a difference in the Scottish title race, the reported £2 million fee will look like a bargain.
