Some Liverpool fans on social media have been raving over James Balagizi after his performance for Liverpool’s U19s in the UEFA Youth League.
The young Reds faced off against Atletico Madrid’s youth side, and they ran out 2-0 winners.
Jarrell Quansah and Max Woltman may have gotten the goals, but the real star of the show was Balagizi.
The midfielder put in a dominant display. He knew exactly what to do every time he got the ball and he produced numerous moments of magic.
Balagizi created a number of fantastic chances for his teammates, while he also won a penalty in the first-half, which Woltman unfortunately missed.
Inevitably, Liverpool fans were quick to take notice of Balagizi’s performance and some even called for him to get a chance in the first team.
It remains to be seen whether or not Klopp will give the 18-year-old a chance, but supporters certainly believe he should be given a shot soon.
