The goalkeeper is currently on loan from Sparta Prague having joined during the January transfer window and as the Chronicle reports, Newcastle have first option to make that move permanent this summer.

If they choose to do so, then the total cost of signing the 29-year-old, including loan fee, will be around £6m and many expect the stopper to become the club’s first new addition ahead of next campaign.

Dubravka himself has remained relatively coy on whether he will be at St James’ Park for the long term, but following the win against the Blues, the Slovakian gave a positive response when asked about it.
