Wolves centre-back Willy Boly needs to rediscover his best form quickly with Leicester City just around the corner.
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Willy Boly played a crucial role in the club’s promotion from the Championship last season and is a powerhouse that is a regular starter for manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
However, the 27-year-old delivered an uncharacteristic display last weekend during the 2-2 draw with Everton on his Premier League debut.
The centre-back gifted Everton a couple of chances with some sloppy moments of play and was well below his best.
It was of course just the first game of the season and he should return to the form that made him a brick wall in defence in the Championship, but in the top flight he will not get a comfortbale game to ease his way back to form.
Wolves travel to Leicester City on Saturday for their next league clash and Boly is going to be exploited by their danger man Jamie Vardy if he delivers a similar performance to the one he put in against Everton.
England international Vardy has netted 57 goals in the previous three Premier League seasons and also opened his account on the opening day against Manchester United.
The 31-year-old is a centre-forward who is a real nuisance and will capitalise on any mistakes from Wolves’ three-man defence.
Boly’s pace and strength should see make the step up in quality to the Premier League, which is why helping shut out Leicester at the King Power Stadium would be a great way to respond to a below par opening performance.
