West Ham United midfielder Edimilson Fernandes should be offloaded, as midfielder Jack Wilshere reportedly undergoes a medical ahead of joining.

West Ham United are reportedly closing in on a deal for free agent Jack Wilshere after his departure from Arsenal and he is likely to become a fan favourite at the London Stadium.
Many expect he will go straight into the West Ham starting XI to provide more creativity and guile in the centre of the park, but that will of course crank up competition for places.

One man that is likely to be pushed even further down the pecking order is Edimilson Fernandes and he should be offloaded this summer as a result.
The 22-year-old Swiss central midfielder managed just 16 first-team appearances across all competitions last season and is far behind Wilshere in terms of quality and experience.

A temporary loan for Fernandes could be a good option for West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini to explore, as his game time is likely to be even more limited next season with Wilshere blocking his path into the side.
Fernandes has shown in glimpses that he has big potential, but the Times previously reported he was someone that Pellegrini could look to offload when he first arrived to raise funds.
