Will Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou be recalled against Fulham?

Tottenham Hotspur certainly look short of attacking options ahead of their next match against Fulham, meaning the door could open for forgotten man Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to be included in the squad.

Spurs face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday and have lost Heung-Min Son due to his participation in the Asian Games, while Erik Lamela is currently sidelined through injury.

That leaves manager Mauricio Pochettino short of genuine first-team options, so could he promote N’Koudou to the 18-man match day squad?

Dele Alli and Lucas Moura are the most likely starters in wide areas for Spurs, after featuring in the opening day win over Newcastle, but the now-departed Son was the only winger on the bench for that game.

It would be a major lifeline for N’Koudou if he was thrown back into the Tottenham squad and he has certainly endured a rough spell with the North London club so far.

N’Koudou has been a fringe figure since he joined Spurs two years ago and has managed just 23 first-team appearances for them.

The 23-year-old right winger had a failed loan spell at Premier League club Burnley last season and it seems unlikely he can break into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.

However, the speed machine could well be presented with an opportunity at the weekend and he did score against AC Milan for Spurs during a pre-season clash over the summer.

According to L’Equipe, Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne are interested in signing N’Koudou before the close of the transfer window this month.
