West Ham United should forget about their reported interest in defender Kevin Malcuit.

West Ham United reportedly still hold an interest in defender Kevin Malcuit from French club Lille, but they should scrap any potential plans to bring him to the London Stadium.
According to France Football, the Hammers and Fulham have been keen on the 26-year-old this summer, while the report indicates either could still come back in during the remainder of the transfer window.
It is understood that Inter Milan, Celta Vigo, Valencia and Napoli have also been interested in the Frenchman.
However, West Ham do not need to be chasing the in-demand Lille right-back and should be more than content with the current options in their squad.
Malcuit is a promising full-back who showed his attacking qualities with five assists in 25 appearances for Lille last season, but there is nothing to suggest he could take Pellegrini’s side to the next level.

West Ham already have the experienced Pablo Zabaleta to rely on and summer signing Ryan Fredericks is another right-back option that supporters should be excited to see in action.
Fredericks is fresh off the back of a brilliant campaign with Fulham to help them win promotion to the Premier League and the speed machine deserves a first-team crack at the London Stadium.
