Leeds United fans react to reports the club are trying to finalise a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman.
Leeds United look set to miss out on Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn and are reportedly trying to complete a deal for shot-stopper Jamal Blackman.
It is understood that Marcelo Bielsa’s side idenfited Gunn as the number one option to be in goal at Elland Road next season, but he is set to join Southampton for £10million and the Championship side have had to look elsewhere.
Leeds also missed out on signing Birmingham goalkeeper David Stockdale on loan and have seemingly had to settle on the Chelsea ace.
Blackman is open to joining the Championship side after impressing for Sheffield United last season and will allegedly be given the gloves ahead of Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
He is a 6ft 5in colossus who is highly-rated and controls his box well, but not the player Leeds were prioritising his summer.
Some Leeds fans on Twitter are annoyed they may have to make do with the Chelsea goalkeeper and would have preferred one of their alternative targets to join this summer.
